CELEBRATING THE MANY FACES OF AMERICA

It’s hard to believe that it’s time once again to be planning for the Morgan Hill July 4th Parade which is on Friday this year. At 10 am the 2008 Parade will step off at Fourth and Monterey Street to begin the 114th July 4th celebration parade in Morgan Hill.

Please review the Application Deadline Dates carefully. Early Bird Applications must be postmarked by May 14, 2008 to be eligible for the lower fee (Amateur or Non-Profit Entries: $30.00, Business or Professional Entries: $250.00). Applications postmarked between May 15 and May 24 will pay the regular entry fee (Amateur or Non-Profit Entries: $60.00, Business or Professional Entries: $500.00). Please note: Entries or comments postmarked after May 24 cannot be accepted. The Northern California Parade Judges Association has requested that we submit the lineup to them at least three weeks prior to the 4th of July necessitating an earlier deadline date.

The Equestrian judging will follow the California State Horsemen’s Association Parade Rules. Call Parade Central if you would like a copy of those rules or if you have any questions. Horses should be able to accept parade noises and activities and remain calm.
